About the app

Is CBLE Prep affiliated with U.S. Customs and Border Protection?
No. It is an independent study aid published by an independent developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CBP or any government agency.

Are these the real exam questions?
No. The questions are original practice questions written for the app. We have no access to the actual exam, and no study aid can predict what a given exam will contain. The questions follow the published exam format and subject areas, and they train the skill the exam tests: finding the right provision in the reference materials and applying it.

How are the questions made and checked?
The bank has 1,417 original single-answer questions across the six CBLE subject areas: Entry / Entry Summary, Classification, Valuation / Appraisement / Duty, Broker Compliance, Modernized Drawback and Practical Exercises. Every question has an explanation of the correct answer and of why each other option is wrong, a citation of the regulation behind it (19 CFR and the HTSUS General Rules of Interpretation, among others), an exam tip and a common trap. The content was audited question by question against the reference editions listed for the October 2026 exam: 19 CFR (2025 Annual Edition), HTSUS 2026, ACE Entry Summary Instructions v2.4a and CBP Directive 3530-002A. Where current practice differs from those editions, the explanation says so.

How are exam simulations scored?
Like the CBLE format: 80 questions, 4 hours 30 minutes, 75% to pass. Unanswered questions count as incorrect. The readiness score in the app is an estimate built from your accuracy, coverage and retention. It is not a prediction of your exam result.

Which references should I use during the exam?
Only the editions CBP allows for your exam date, as listed in CBP's exam notice. The app's citations point to the relevant sections so you can practice finding them.

What do I need to run the app?
An iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later. Studying works offline; an internet connection is needed only to buy or restore Pro.

Plans and purchases

What does the free plan include?
A 100-question starter set covering every exam topic, the placement diagnostic and one full 80-question exam simulation. Pro unlocks all 1,417 questions and unlimited simulations.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Settings > Pro > Restore purchases (also on the purchase screen). Use the same Apple Account you bought Pro with.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Settings > Pro > Manage subscription, or in iOS Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple: https://reportaproblem.apple.com

Will I lose my progress if my subscription ends?
No. Your answers, reviews and results stay; questions outside the free plan are locked until you subscribe again, and questions you have already answered stay open.

Your data and privacy

Where is my progress stored? Can I move it to a new phone?
On your device only. It moves with your iPhone or iPad backup (iCloud or computer). You can also export it as JSON and CSV from Settings > Your data.

How do I delete my data?
Settings > Your data > Reset progress, or delete the app. We do not hold your study data, so there is nothing to delete on our side. To ask about purchase records, email us (see our Privacy Policy: https://examsupport.pages.dev/cble/privacy/).

What data do you collect?
Very little: no accounts, no ads, no tracking. Purchases are processed by Apple and verified with an anonymous identifier through RevenueCat. Details are in our Privacy Policy: https://examsupport.pages.dev/cble/privacy/
